Georgy is an old peasant who works growing wine. He makes an epic trip by foot to visit his son, who has been injured in the war 7th crew floor and hospitalized. However by the time Georgy makes it to the hospital his son has left, sent back to the frontline 7th crew floor and into the heart of battle. This takes our hero on a further trek to find his son, witnessing the collapse of fascism on the way. A very moving, sentimental trip through an important part of Soviet history.
